SDSU Mentorship Program

Give back to the community while helping support the sustainment and growth of engineers for the future of our industry. Please pass this along to your colleagues who also may wish to share their professional wisdom and become a student Mentor.

The SAME San Diego Post’s Student Chapter is active on the San Diego State University campus and in the Troops to Engineers SERVICE program.  The Post provides support to students through our annual scholarship program, outreach and education, involvement in Post events, and through our mentorship program.

The goal of this mentorship program is to match students in the SDSU Troops to Engineers SERVICE program with a knowledgeable person in the field of engineering or A/E/C business management who holds vast experience and perspective in a particular area and is open to sharing his or her life experiences in order to advance the personal and professional growth of a younger person.

Please refer to the attached Mentor application for a program overview.  To become a Mentor, please submit your completed application by e-mail to
